While not absolutely sure, I think the ex-con reference doesn’t apply to accounts receivable, but given zuki’s description of Cush’s party it sounds as though the definition is on the money. How many ex-cons frequent Blondies? And what exactly is a plug ugly? It doesn't sound good.

I mentioned this weekend that in reading a book about old time politics in Kansas City I came across a line that I found to be an almost perfect description of the group who resided at Curmudgeon Corner in the now defunct Deweys. You be the judge:

I was reading something this weekend which was about a group of people employed to disrupt an election in Kansas City early in the Pendergast era.
I have never heard, read or thought of a more apt description of Curmudgeon Corner in my life.
I just hope that sometime this week I will be able to remember it.

Well it didn't take long. My body not yet cold in the ground and I'm being slammed. Is there no respect for the departed? Didn't think so given this particular audience, but nevertheless I've made progress and scratched one Sharon Nickels off my hit list. Sitting next to her in both 7th & 8th grades, she was responsible for frightening me about sex. Never mind she and Laura Esposte teased me relentlessly in those days, the major damage derived is felt every time I smell lavender...don't ask it's a long story. However, I was glad to discover both girls had to drop out of high school and give birth to illegitimate children. Sharon is currently living in government housing living off of cheese and Minute Rice. Laura is living the rest of her days in a 'cotton box' for killing her husband with an axe. I'm very pleased.

Well it is official now, Robin Gibb has outlived Zuki. I think Keith Richards also has outlived him but there is now way to prove for sure that Keith is still alive.

Robin Gibb, the ailing Bee Gees star who recently slipped into a coma before awakening after 12 days against all expectations, could be released from hospital within a week.

That’s according to a friend of the singer, who told The Daily Mirror, “There is a very good possibility of him being discharged at the end of the week.” Gibb’s amazing recovery is said to have shocked doctors, who had warned Gibb’s family they should expect the worst.
The star, one of the three Bee Gees who took the pop and disco world by storm in the ’70s, fell into a coma and was said to be close to death after developing pneumonia following a procedure related to the intestinal issues that have plagued him in recent months. The pop star has also been battling liver and colon cancer.
The singer’s unnamed friend added, “Robin is still weak but getting better by the day. His recovery is nothing short of a miracle.”
Meanwhile, Gibb’s wife Dwina has been talking about her husband’s stunning recovery in detail with Hello! magazine. Dwina said the Bee Gees singer is now learning to eat and walk again, because his muscles atrophied while he was comatose

I did a brief google search looking for proof, because the fact he asks the reader to pass it along, made me think it was weird. According to Urban Legend this was a series of right wing flag waiving hoax's attributed to celebrities. The source should have raised a red flag, but found it easier to accept it at face value. I apologize for any discomfort you may have felt and rest assured I'll remove this hoax ASAP!
